📌 Quick Summary (TL;DR): Blyudo Rozovoe (Pink Dish)

  • 🌍 Origin: The name translates to “Pink Dish” or “Pink Platter”, which perfectly describes its size and primary use as a top-tier slicing tomato.
  • 🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (tall) and mid-season. This variety is incredibly resilient! Growers report it performing admirably outdoors even under severe weather stress (surviving early frosts followed by intense heat waves).
  • 🍅 Fruit Characteristics: The shapes are famously variable on the same plant—ranging from chunky, plump plum shapes to classic hearts or even massive fused/double hearts. They ripen evenly without showing signs of potassium deficiency (no hard yellow shoulders).
  • 👅 Flavor: A perfect slicer. It is very meaty, yet loaded with juice, featuring a delicious, obvious sweetness.

A wonderful indeterminate, mid-season slicer variety. It grew outdoors in open ground, and this summer we had terrible weather (first June frosts, then a month and a half of extreme heat where the blossoms dropped and the growing tips of the tomatoes literally burned). Despite all that, it showed really solid yields.

The fruits come in various shapes—from plump plums to hearts, or even fused double hearts. They are meaty, but at the same time very juicy, delicious, with an obvious sweetness. It didn’t suffer from potassium deficiency at all. Seeds came from our fellow forum member Sofia27 🙏
