Cherokee Rosse — A new variety from Brad Gates.
I planted three bushes, all outdoors in open ground. The height was slightly over a meter (3.3 ft), mid-season ripening time. The fruits are very unusual—they have a velvety [fuzzy] skin, the color of a dusty rose, oblate shape, weighing 200-400g (7-14 oz). The yield is excellent. The taste is a regular, classic tomato flavor.
However, in my growing conditions, this new release proved to be insufficiently stable. Out of the three bushes I planted, only one actually matched the varietal description. The other two bushes turned out to be large, regular pink beefsteaks, though they did have a decent taste.
