Indeterminate, mid-season exotic variety, bred by Pascal Moreau. Fruits are mottled, multi-colored, with an exotic pattern, roundish-oval, averaging 2-2.8 oz (60-80 g). The foliage, stem, and fruits are all super fuzzy like mittens. I picked the last fruits in September to ripen indoors, and they sat in a box on the floor, they attracted so much dust, I have no idea where it all came from lol. Foliage has a beautiful blue tint, and the stem is purple. Yields are decent, and it didn’t drop blossoms even in cold weather. I didn’t actually taste this one.

I didn’t actually taste this one.

Guess you were totally burnt out on eating tomatoes by then 🤷‍♂️ 😄

Ninulia: Lena, gotta ask then, what’s the point of growing it? 😉

Some people grow things just for the soul and the beauty of it, for a little variety in the garden. Personally, I gave them all away as cute little souvenirs.

AlexanderS: flavor changes depending on conditions anyway 🤷‍♂️ and plenty of folks don’t even mention the taste and nobody cares 🤷‍♂️

Flavor changes not just based on growing conditions, but weather, soil makeup, and what you feed them. And as for counter-ripened tomatoes, I won’t even eat those at all.

A fellow grower wrote to me that he sprayed his outdoor tomatoes for late blight with some store-bought junk, and the ones he sprayed out in the dirt turned totally bitter.

Bottom line: everyone has to choose tomatoes for their own taste buds. You just have to plant them and try them yourself, plus every year is so different. You gotta figure out the growing methods that work best for your specific setup.

I was wondering why a brand new thread had so many replies… ??? ahhh, y’all are debating flavor.

I found the answer, see HERE

… “Wonderful sweet flavor”

Also “Outstanding special aroma, well-balanced”…. from HERE

If someone didn’t get a chance to taste it themselves, you can always find out from what others say.

Full Summary: Plant, Yield, Taste and Storage

  • 🌿 Plant: Indeterminate, mid-season. Highly ornamental and exotic looking, featuring blue-tinted foliage and purple stems. The entire plant—leaves, stems, and the round-oval fruits—is heavily covered in fuzz. Tomatoes are small, multi-colored/striped, and weigh about 2-2.8 oz (60-80 g).
  • 📈 Yield: Rated as decent/average. It shows excellent cold tolerance, setting fruit well and refusing to drop blossoms even in cold weather.
  • 👅 Taste: While the original grower in the thread used them strictly as ornamental gifts and didn’t taste them, other reviews indicate they have a wonderful, sweet flavor with an outstanding, well-balanced aroma.
  • 📦 Storage: Can be picked green and ripens successfully indoors. However, because the fruits are so fuzzy, they act like magnets for household dust while sitting in a box!
  • 🌎 Who Reviewed It: 4 users participated in this thread, representing USDA Zone 4.
