I have seeds from Balashov from Donetsk. Det. Grew in the garden, all fruits 400-500 g (14-17.6 oz). I planted 5 bushes, but my husband said to plant more next year.

60-70 cm (24-27 inches).

My Fatima from a commercial packet sent from Ukraine grew into a gorgeous… indeterminate.

The fruits are very good, dense meaty hearts, and the yield is fabulous. It kept the frequent truss setting of a determinate, but I had to limit its growth with scissors, it was stretching like crazy, I had to lay this variety down along the outdoor beds, right on the ground, it’s that tall… I liked the uniformity of the fruits – both in the first and subsequent trusses, even, identical fruits the size of a fist grew. The flesh impressed me – very rich, even, quite dense, and the shape is perfect. Absolutely no crooked or ugly fruits. In this regard, it reminded me of hybrids. From 5 lying bushes, I took 50 liters (13 gallons) of fruits. The ones left blackened on the bed were fewer than on others, so I almost completely harvested it. Late blight covered it too, but not in the front rows.

I’m moving this variety to the greenhouse. Liked it a lot. I’ll see how it behaves from my own seeds, because from the commercial ones it slowed down in the cold at the beginning of summer. Thanks to Raisa (Amira) for the variety!!!

It should like it in the greenhouse. For me, it grew in the greenhouse the first year. I won’t say it was the very earliest, yielding in ripening time to Batyanya, but it can still be classified as early. I planted it almost every year, this year it died at the seedling stage from my experiments and I missed it. A very reliable variety in terms of yield and quite good in taste, although with each season I become more and more picky.

And I have this description on my packet:

Early ripening. Ripening begins 102-117 days after full emergence. The plant is standard, determinate, 70 cm (27 inches) tall. Regular leaf of medium size, dark green, medium corrugated. The inflorescence is simple and intermediate type. The first inflorescence is laid above the 6-7th leaf, the subsequent ones every 1-2 leaves. Jointed pedicel. The fruit is flat-round (oblate), smooth, pink, 4-5 locules. Fruit weight 200-250 g (7-8.8 oz).

Variety value: high yield, simultaneous formation, and uniformity of fruits.

Seeds are from SOLNECHNY MART (Sunny March), seems to be Lugansk.

Has anyone had such a Fatima? Just bought it for this year, will try it.

I had it. Only I was unlucky, mine turned out to be an indet. And my mistake was that expecting it to be a det, I didn’t sucker it at all in the first year of planting. Prune suckers just in case, leaving 2-3 stems. My packet said 85-90 days, but for me it started ripening later, because in June our nights are not warm enough in the open ground. I would really like to find a determinate Fatima. Overall, a very worthy variety: unpretentious, not sickly, acclimatizes well, resilient, handles cold-heat-cold fluctuations and high humidity well. It didn’t drop blossoms for me in the heat.

Thank you, I don’t always trust what such companies write on packets. Last year the Belosnezhka (Snow White) tomato basically matched almost everything except the claimed white color 😂, it was light yellow. But doubts always remain.

My Fatima grew into a powerful bush, 70-90 cm (27-35 inches). At first it bloomed and dropped blossoms. Even though it seemed to turn out as a det, especially those that weren’t suckered at all (they were generally lower and the fruits smaller but there were more of them), I think shaping/pruning is needed. Because of the blossom drop, it wasn’t particularly productive, but I liked the taste. Quite a dense consistency, but not “rubbery”, the fruits were not heart-shaped. There were a couple of plants with red fruits. Now I think it was a random mix-up, or maybe “Solnechnyi Mart” collected seeds from some F1 hybrid and now they are showing off like this.

The very first Fatima from a packet (I don’t remember which company) also gave me a couple of bushes with bright red beautiful hearts, dense ones, I didn’t particularly like the taste. But the second time, my Fatima was a tall indet, but the fruits were crimson hearts of a very beautiful shape, liked the taste. It didn’t drop blossoms, set everything. Such a hard worker, a real workhorse. This year I bought it on eBay from Ukraine again, but who knows what will grow. If it fits into the 2017 planting, I will have to test what they poured into the packet. Suddenly I’ll get lucky?

Seeds from NK Elit. Bushes up to a meter (3.3 ft), sturdy. Tomatoes from 250 to 700g (8.8 to 24 oz). Heart-shaped, but the large ones are uneven. Tasty, sweet, meaty, few seeds. Early. Collected seeds, will repeat.

Did you sucker (prune) them? I bought “Solnechnyi Mart” again, there was no other. Now I’ll probably want to look for some others…

Taste has a tang but is good. Juicy, meaty.

Fatima pleased me. Seeds from SvetaR. Height is really small, 50-60 cm (20-24 inches), good hearts with beaks. Tastes like a pleasant tomato. Will go for a repeat.

I grew the tall Fatima this year. Seeds from Korolevskiy Sad. Liked it, simply super! Productive, tasty. Many fruits in a truss (I didn’t thin them). Average weight was 300-400 g (10.5-14 oz).

Liked the variety very much. Grew outdoors in open ground. Productive and tasty hearts 200-300g (7-10.5 oz).

I will plant it again next year, so far I haven’t found an equal to plant alongside it. I’ve been planting it for 4 years in a row for sure. The bush must be tied up, large fruits can topple the plant. I can’t evaluate the yield. Everyone has their own criteria. If the tomatoes are 500g (1.1 lbs) each, then you get 3 fruits. If 350 g (12 oz) then 4 tomatoes. You definitely won’t harvest 4 kilograms (8.8 lbs) from a bush. Early as always. This year they were more sour. I repeat myself, but I haven’t found a better tomato yet. With good care, the tomatoes can be up to 700g (1.5 lbs).

Fatima. Pleased me very much in this difficult summer, one of the first indets to ripen. Pure tomato meat. Will definitely repeat. Seeds from Lyudmila.

I didn’t understand anything about Fatima, for some it’s tall, for others it’s short, det or indet? Most likely these are different Fatimas. I’ll plant it this year too. What will grow for me? Interesting.

Grew it for two years. Last year something incomprehensible grew, so I decided to repeat. This year Fatima pleased me. Grew in open ground. The fruits were large and sweet, no small ones. There were no green shoulders either, although many hearts sinned with this this season. I got the tall Fatima, although the packet said det, I partially suckered it and ended up with a jungle 🙈 Medium ripening time. Will definitely repeat, everyone liked the taste.

Hello. Mine grew under a canopy. Over 1.5 m (5 ft) tall. The fruits are indeed quite large. But inside, for me, it had empty cavities. Therefore, it was softish on the outside. The taste turned out mediocre.

In my greenhouse – a short indet, grew it for several years in two stems, always an excellent result, quite an early variety, pink meaty hearts up to 300-400g (10.5-14 oz), very tasty, almost seedless.

Hello. I’m new, although I’ve been reading the forum for a long time. I sowed Fatima from the exact same packet, but I got potato leaves (PL). Is this an off-type or possibly a segregation? Has anyone else experienced this?

Mine has regular leaves and the photo on the packet shows round fruits, but here everyone is writing about hearts… Mysteries with this Fatima.

Last year didn’t work out. I finally sowed Fatima only this year. A regular indet with a regular leaf, now I just have to look at the fruits. Blooming for now.

My potato-leaf Fatima formed buds a month after sowing. I sowed late – April 14 (that’s when I received the seeds), noticed a bud on May 14 and planted it out on the 19th. Didn’t expect such speed, some indets sown on March 10 are still without buds.

Please write when it becomes clear what shape the fruits are, are they hearts?

My potato-leaf “Fatima” (in quotes for now) from the exact same packet as Lyudmila’s turned out to be a det, which I am very happy about. The fruit shape is not visible yet, planted it late.

I haven’t figured out my potato-leaf one yet, it’s just starting to set fruit.

I have 2 bushes of Fatima growing and both of them have flat-round (oblate) first 2 fruits on the first trusses, and the 3rd one has some heart-shape to it, but it is still very small, hard to see. Perhaps the ones higher up will be more heart-shaped.
