Growers’ Notes and Photos (USDA Zones 5-9 Experience)
Nonna Antonina. Seeds from Nadyusha in Kaluga Region. 💐
The flesh is just mouthwatering, true old-school tomato flavor! 🤤 Long, extended harvest window, and all the fruits stayed consistently large right to the end. 👍 Ran it both in open ground and in the greenhouse. Outdoors in the garden bed, production was actually noticeably higher.
Really loved Nonna Antonina! It’s a relatively modest, well-behaved plant that doesn’t get unruly or take over the patch, yet it loaded up with lots of large, bright red fruits. Fantastic flavor.
Turned out late in the season, but that was actually a big plus, it stepped right in for fresh salads after the main harvest rush, right when folks are usually burnt out on tomatoes))) Seeds came from a collector in Yoshkar-Ola. Definite keeper!
