Description: determinate, mid-season, grows up to 1.2 m (4 ft) in open ground. The fruits are pink-raspberry plums, up to 100g (3.5 oz). They are excellent for canning/pickling and sun-drying. It has a stretched-out fruiting period, a very productive variety. Tasty and very firm.
I’ve been growing a variety called “Rozovyi slivovidnyi” (Pink Plum-shaped) bred by the Far Eastern Research Institute of Agriculture for over 10 years… It is remarkably similar to Svetlana’s Pink Plum.
The bushes are compact and literally covered in fruit. The average weight is 70-80 g (2.5-2.8 oz), they are absolutely ideal for whole-fruit canning and sun-drying.
At first, I grew it in a polycarbonate greenhouse, and the yield was simply staggering. But it also fruits quite well in open ground, where the plants only need to be partially pruned.
It’s a mid-season variety (in my conditions), medium height, highly productive.
