Growers’ Notes and Photos (USDA Zone 4 Experience)
Dwarf Gloria’s Treat – A 2022 release.
This is an early dwarf plant with rugose, potato-leaf foliage. Stout, compact plants; even in the greenhouse, they didn’t get taller than 27-31 inches (70-80 cm). Very productive, setting medium to large fruits that are bright yellow with red marbling inside and out. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and aromatic. Very respectable flavor!
You can prune these to 2-3 stems, pinching off all the suckers that form. The plant has absolutely massive leaves, so I had to thin them out in the center of the canopy to prevent crowding and improve airflow.
Official background info: Dwarf Gloria’s Treat belongs to the “Ivalde” family of the Dwarf Tomato Project, originating from a cross made by Soren Linnemann between the indeterminate ‘Vjerino Paradajz Sjeme’ and ‘Wherokowhai’.
Marsha Eisenberg selected and named this dwarf “Dwarf Gloria’s Treat” in honor of her mother, Gloria. This dwarf was introduced by Victory Seed Company in early 2022.
