This variety was one of the very first to ripen in the greenhouse. Such early ripening is especially surprising for a bicolor heart. Varieties of this type are usually quite late and finicky.
Pomaranch is an exception. In addition to being early, this variety is highly productive, and its fruiting period is extended, which allows you to harvest the crop gradually over time.
The taste qualities are also top-notch—juicy, sweet flesh that is typical for such varieties.

One of my favorite varieties. An absolute beauty and delicious too. It doesn’t set fruit very well in our dry, hot climate, but for its taste and appearance, that can be completely forgiven.
