Quick Summary of Red Robin
- 🌍 Origin: A very famous and beloved micro-dwarf variety worldwide. Fun fact from Russian growers: Commercial Russian seed companies often rename and sell this exact variety under the names “Snegirek” (Gavrish seeds) and “Krasny Karlik” (Red Dwarf). If you grow them side-by-side, they are identical twins!

Red Robin
A charming short-growing variety, very early. The height is about 30-40 cm (12-16″). It is quite productive for such a little baby. The fruits are red, round, and sweet! It grew in a 5-liter (1.3 gal) pot.
I’ll show off my Red Robin from 2023. True, I gave it a slightly larger “apartment” — they lived in 10-liter (2.6 gallon) pots.
June 25: Living outdoors. The top tomatoes are covered in morning dew/frost.
July 15: I have already harvested 850 grams (1.8 lbs) from this bush.
October 2: Living out its final days in a warm seedling greenhouse. The total yield came out to 1.75 kg (3.8 lbs) per bush!
By the way, Red Robin has at least two clones here in Russia — “Snegirek” (from Gavrish seeds) and “Krasny Karlik” (Red Dwarf, from Medvedev).
I planted them all at the same time — they are absolute identical twin brothers.
