My first attempt with SP (Sakharnyi Pudovichok) failed, it grew small fruits with a hint of sweetness, but the fruits were very red and productive. This year I want to repeat it again.
Life is an interesting thing. Here we are buying up foreign varieties, and you guys over there are buying SibSad 😄

And I even paid 6 dollars for 20 seeds from ebay.com ))) SibSad varieties grow well in our climate, mostly early, productive, and my family likes them for their taste qualities. But you are right, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence )))

Could you please advise on how to prune suckers on Sakharnyi Pudovichok? How many suckers should I leave on the bush? In my climate, 8-10 trusses manage to ripen (with the last ones ripening indoors).
I would grow it in 2 stems, if you leave more — the fruits will be small.

I grew this variety from SibSad. Everyone liked it. It shot up all the way to the roof of the greenhouse. The variety turned out to be resistant to diseases, productive, mid-season. True, I expected it to be raspberry-pink, but the fruits turned out bright red. The taste has a bit of acidity. It stays on my permanent grow list as a workhorse. For juices and other canning purposes. You can also mix it into a fresh salad with sweeter varieties.
