🍅 Quick take: Grosse Hative d’Orleans Bush is a semi-determinate, early-season red variety known for its sparse foliage and highly concentrated harvest. Growers appreciate it as a low-maintenance outdoor plant that delivers above-average yields of very juicy, seed-dense fruits. While the flavor is a basic, classic tomato taste, it is considered very good for such an early producer.
Growers’ Notes and Photos (USDA Zone 4 Experience)
Semi-determinate, low-maintenance early variety. The plant has pretty sparse foliage. Fruits are red, weighing up to 4.2 oz (120 g), very juicy, and packed with seeds. The flavor is just your standard classic tomato, but honestly pretty good for an early variety. Yield was above average, and the tomatoes ripened almost all at once. Grew this one outdoors.
