📌 Quick Summary (TL;DR): Blushing Pineapple Sergeant (Ananasnyi Serzhant Rumyanyi)

  • 🌍 Origin: A specific sister-line bred by Sofia Saakova (Russia). It comes from a complex cross involving Schlumbach’s Strawberry, Pineapple Heart, and Sgt. Pepper’s.
  • 🌿 Plant Habit: Indeterminate (tall), growing to about 1.8 m (6 ft) in a greenhouse. Mid-season maturity.
  • 🍅 Fruit Characteristics: This “Blushing” (Rumyanyi) version differs from the standard Pineapple Sergeant. It has much weaker, fainter anthocyanin (purple) splashing on the shoulders, but compensates with a much brighter, more vibrant orange-crimson/raspberry base color. The fruits are large oxhearts, weighing 300-500 g (10.5-17.5 oz).
  • 👅 Flavor: Exceptional. The bicolor flesh is incredibly sweet and dense, featuring distinct fruity notes and tiny seed cavities with very few seeds.
