🍅 Quick take: Goose Creek is a legendary indeterminate red heirloom (originally introduced by Jimmy Williams) that produces massive oblate beefsteaks. Growers consider it an absolute masterpiece, praising its classic, sweet-leaning flavor that finishes with a lingering, pleasant aftertaste. Despite producing incredibly huge fruits (sometimes pushing nearly 2 lbs / 800 g), it manages to ripen surprisingly early and pumps out very heavy yields. Full summary ↓
Growers’ Notes and Photos (USDA Zones 4 Experience)
Seeds from Angelina. The catalog description is spot on: Mid-season, tall indet. Fruits are oblate, deep red, very tasty, large. Heavy yielder.
Another masterpiece tomato. It was my earliest one and absolutely delicious. Real tomato flavor, sweet-leaning but with a slight tang. Lingering aftertaste. Meaty but juicy, not a ton of seeds. Massive fruits, the biggest tomato I’ve ever grown came off this vine—about 28 oz (805 g). Highly productive on top of that.
