Mine didn’t crack. If you prune it to 4 stems, then naturally the fruits will be smaller.

Ira, what about its ripening time and yield? I also have a packet from “Biotekhnika”, thinking whether to sow it or if it’s already too late?

Meri, Pink Flamingo definitely wasn’t late. More like mid-season. When grown in a single stem, it didn’t skip any trusses or drop any blossoms. For a variety with a frail bush structure, the yield is good.

Pink Flamingo Heart-shaped.

Grew outdoors and in the greenhouse.

In the greenhouse, it’s an indeterminate hitting the roof, completely loaded. The bush is frail/wispy. In terms of growth habit and fruit load, it’s similar to “Eagle’s Heart” (Orlinoe Serdtse).

In open ground, it’s an indeterminate, BUT! It only grew to 1m (3.3 ft). It loaded the first two trusses monstrously. It didn’t grow further and dropped its flowers. Yesterday I picked everything. Weighed it. 5 kg (11 lbs) per bush!!!! A monster!!! 😲

The taste is very mediocre. Just an ordinary pink tomato flavor. Next year I’ll only put it in open ground.

Natasha, it looks like it lacked sun and potassium-magnesium to develop a good taste for such a massive yield…

Yes, Zulfiya. My tomatoes in open ground were basically abandoned. Spartan conditions: little water (high raised beds, only natural rainfall), no fertilizers, and almost no protection…. 😔

Natasha (Yaroslavna), thanks for the seeds! 🌸 Growing it for the third year and it gets better every year 👍 Beauty and deliciousness! 😋

If you plant it in a bright spot in the greenhouse, you get this kind of yield 🙌 It grew on the edge near the aisle by the door, about 1 meter (3.3 ft) tall, I pruned suckers only up to the 1st truss. The leaves are large, it’s better not to shade this variety! Weight from 70 to 250g (2.5 to 8.8 oz).

I also grew the Ukrainian one (seeds from Zulfiya) 🌸
Productive, beautiful, and very tasty! 👍😋 Indeterminate, grew in the greenhouse in 2 stems. Fruits are oval, meaty pink mega-plums weighing 150-250g (5.3-8.8 oz), one fruit weighed in at almost 500g (17.6 oz).

Natalya Pavlovna! Thank you for the seeds of Pink Flamingo. This variety became one of my favorites. It turned out to be early for our Northern conditions, so it got eaten instantly. Sorry, no good photos.

I posted a photo of the tomato with the beak in my journal. I’m glad Pink Flamingo worked out! 🙌

Today I bought six seedlings at OBI for 199 rubles labeled as Pink Flamingo. The seedlings are sturdy and stocky. Height 28-30cm (11-12 inches) and the stem diameter is a whole centimeter (0.4 inches).

I highly doubt they sold you this exact specific variety at OBI. There are so many different Pink Flamingos, just look at the pictures on the internet.

Yes, I understand that seedlings from OBI and other stores are a pig in a poke and a lottery. We’ll see what grows. 😲 Or maybe nothing will grow.
